Fascinating submitted by amym on June 28, 2014, 8:52pm A really good look at the black death (a modern name for this plague). It sometimes got a little tedious describing its path through Europe, but it described the time and its after-effects really well.

Very good and comprehensive submitted by wellscai on August 23, 2017, 9:09pm I picked this up on a whim and greatly enjoyed it. It's a clear and very comprehensive (almost exhaustive) description of the Black Death, and I found it to be an informative introduction.
