Excellent Illustrations, Excellent Story submitted by Meginator on June 14, 2023, 11:19am This is a great picture book with tons of fun details in the illustrations (including the endpapers) that carry just as much of the storytelling as the text (if not more), adding additional layers of humor to an already very funny reading experience. The story follows a boy who attempts to help his pet dragon overcome his own fear of monsters during the Halloween season, with a few missteps along the way and a very clever solution that will delight readers who have a fondness for irony. With its excellent sense of humor and visual details, this is a great choice for slightly older picture book readers who enjoy Halloween.
