A great book, despite a few errors submitted by FordAlpha on July 11, 2018, 9:54pm This picture book categorizes vegetables by the plant part that is eaten. It's kid-friendly and excellent overall, except for a few botanical errors. For example, celery and rhubarb as listed as stem vegetables—actually they are petioles, part of the leaves—and the text mentions that some "seed vegetables" are eaten with their pods, without noting that the pods are actually a type of fruit. But overall, it's an engaging and worthwhile lesson for any kid (or adult) who'd like to one-up the next know-it-all who announces that a tomato is a fruit. "Yeah, well, so is a cucumber! And a squash. And . . . "

Nice book and very funny submitted by wookeny on July 9, 2019, 8:49pm I read this book in the library, and it was super funny. We had a book talk, and the teacher said what book did you read? The student said, the vegetables we eat. Then she said what is it about? Then the student said the vegetable we eat! It was super funny and we read it all together. We learned a lot of new vegetables that we didn't learn yet!
