so-so sequel submitted by FordAlpha on August 30, 2019, 9:55pm This sequel to "Miss Nelson is Missing" is as quirky as the original, but doesn't quite recapture its surprise and charm. Here, Miss Nelson really is gone, out sick for a week. Her substitute is the school principal, who turns out to be such a bore that the kids resort to desperate measures, and Miss Nelson must intervene from her sickbed. The story is fun to read a time or two, but unlikely to enter long-term storytime rotation.
