Training kids to deal with problems submitted by willow on August 31, 2016, 10:26pm I think this book has an overly dramatic title.

As in his other book, Everyday Parenting Toolkit, Kazdin outlines his ABC method: antecedents, behavior, and consequences. This book is about one hundred pages longer and focuses on major issues at each age range and how to help your child.

He makes it clear that he has dealt with children who are violent or have other major issues that are part of family chaos; this is not just a book about nearly angelic children. However, nothing in the text is about doing anything extreme or alarming that would not also apply to children with more mundane problems. There is also a chapter on what to do if his method does not seem to be working.
