Hilarious Science Fiction submitted by j.carbon06 on June 20, 2011, 6:14pm This book is a hilarious science fiction adventure. The characters are ingenious, and Adams is great at making up hilarious settings for them to exist in. One of my favorite sci-fi/comedy books ever.

one of my favorate books submitted by ferdoble on July 31, 2011, 8:42pm Douglas Adams is an incredibly witty writer. He is also a brilliant performer, so I recommend listing to the books as he does the voice overs.

All the books in the series are great, but the first is by far my favorite.

great book submitted by Ele Z. on August 21, 2011, 10:01am red it twice

Oh the Style! submitted by porglezomp on June 30, 2012, 4:58pm A must read for everyone who likes science fiction or humor, preferably both. Adams uses his brilliant style which allows for a deadly serious story in which every single element is pure humor. His characters have depth, and are so quotable. The description is rich, the world building superb – wonderful book.

Wonderful! submitted by allseltz on July 5, 2014, 5:22pm Such an amazing book! A quick, clever and hilarious read. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves an imaginative story.

call it unique? submitted by Bookbird on August 17, 2014, 12:26pm The book is science fiction, the scientific parts usually make no sense, and I was laughing every few pages :)

An outstanding piece submitted by Isabella Giviyan on July 16, 2016, 8:09pm Adams' book is a unique take on alien life, making them arguably more humanoid than any other science fiction work. Adams emphasizes humans' bad points and their good, all while creating a light, humorous, ironic tone.

Hilarious Send-Up and Beloved Classic submitted by Meginator on August 23, 2017, 2:46pm The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is much-hyped, but it absolutely lives up to its reputation, bringing a laugh-out-loud hilarious sensibility to beloved science fiction tropes as varied as the space opera, artificial intelligence, alien species, and the apocalypse. The book is both a lampooning of and tribute to the genre, and itself offers its own compelling view of the universe, as well as a memorable cast of characters and series of exotic locations. You don't need to like (or hate) science fiction to get a lot out of this novel; it's an all time great work of science fiction, satire, and humor, in one tidy package.

Funny submitted by zmclaugh on July 26, 2018, 12:47pm A really witty science fiction book that can be enjoyed by any. This is my favorite of the series. Great style!
