For fledgling writers submitted by Pumpkinscones on August 3, 2013, 11:04am What I really like about this anthology is the hope it gives young writers. Martin offers two things - advice and encouragement and his early stories. Which are awful. Not super awful but you can read them and think, wow, I could probably write this. Through this anthology you witness his writing evolve, watch him hone his skills and eventually become amazing story after amazing story. It's a mix of sci-fi, fantasy and horror, blends of all three and his thoughts on genres. Great read.
