good teen book submitted by manz on June 23, 2011, 8:07am John Green and David Levithan have done it again! This is a unique book. A wonderful book! Just great.

We have two characters with the same name, each writing every other chapter. (One voice written by Levitan, the other by Green.) Eventually the two characters and the narrative collides, and their lives are forever changed.

The characters are believable and heartfelt. And Tiny Cooper? He's one of my favorite book characters of all time. You have to read to find out who he is and why! Let's just say: larger than life in all respects + musical theater = super fun.

Two authors, one great book submitted by wampishing on June 24, 2013, 1:53pm One Will Grayson, begrudgingly defined by his best friend, lives by two rules: don't care too much and shut up. The other Will Grayson, clinically depressed, lives for his internet boyfriend. Chance and humiliation unite the pair of Will Graysons in a porn store one desperate Chicago night. Two-rule Will's best friend, Tiny Cooper, falls quickly for the other Will Grayson - (or will, as his chapters never use capital letters, a visual extension of the apathy his depression causes). Flamboyantly huge, and hugely gay, Tiny has constantly been in the throes of love and heartbreak, and he's writing a play about it. As will and Tiny grow closer, Will and Tiny grow apart. Bringing together two fantastic authors, each writer giving one Will Grayson a voice, this story about different kinds of love - friendship, romantic, reluctant and unhealthy -sails along with crisp, funny text and an ending that's theatrical in more ways than one.

best things about this book submitted by unknown on July 29, 2013, 6:01pm 1: There are NO animal-morphing, super-powered teenagers. That go to a "special" Academy.
2: There are NO dead siblings/parents to mourn over. That were accidentally killed by the main character.
3: There are NO stupid/bad parents. Or parents discovered to have been NOT the parents.
4: There ARE lots of real feelings and a proportionate amount of difficulties understanding them. By the characters.
5: There IS fantastic dialog - the script device works.
6: There IS abundant great humor and also very real pain.
7: There is FABULOUS hopefulness and love. And a really great musical that should be produced.
8: This book can and should be enjoyed by so-called adults. Like me.

A must read submitted by bookworm12345 on July 12, 2014, 12:02pm Great book, with extravagant and unique characters full of personality. A must-read.

Great LGBTQ submitted by jmb.mlis on August 31, 2014, 11:00pm Excellent book showing the diversity of sexual orientations in today's high schools.

Interesting but Confusing submitted by Motomori on June 15, 2015, 12:25pm This book was pretty interesting. It did capture how teens at that age actually feel about their sexual orientation, and both authors did a good job about keeping everything real and legit, but it was still a little confusing throughout the majority of the book. Maybe I didn't really understand it, or maybe I didn't really like it, but it confused me in some places.

Two Wills, Two Authors, One Must Read submitted by tomiwa on July 1, 2015, 12:25pm This book captures the distinctly different personalities of two people with the same first and last names. Their relationships with each other and the people around them are reflective of actual teen lives, and ultimately how the two Will Graysons influenced each others lives made the entire novel a great read. I loved this book, and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.

Great! submitted by ajstemp on June 28, 2018, 11:13am The combination of John Green and David Leviathan is wonderful. Each brings a different set of skills and a different voice to the book, which results in a story that feels honest and real. It's a quick read, but one that's filled with humanity, heartbreak, and honest delight.

This is my favorite John Green book! submitted by edb.blanchard on August 14, 2018, 7:30pm Even though he only wrote half of it, these are my favorite characters and the one I pick up the most often to reread!

Amazing submitted by c_zhang on June 27, 2019, 11:06pm The mix of John Green and David Leviathan is a really good combination. I really enjoyed reading this book. It's honest and genuine.

Good book submitted by jasonc1177 on July 31, 2019, 8:02pm Great author and amazing book!)

You won't forget this one for a while submitted by Elizabethreads on August 3, 2020, 3:00pm When the lives of two Will Graysons intersect, mayhem and mischief ensue. This sizzling, bantering book combines the best of Green and Levithan.
