Satisfying Series End submitted by BookNerd on June 18, 2017, 4:46pm The tenth (and final) book in the Catherine LeVendeur series ties up most of the threads that have woven through since the first book.

This historical mystery series gives wonderful details of 12th century France and highlights the complicated interactions between Jews and Christians of the time. Some of the main characters are Jewish, others are Christians, and some are converts. There is a nice blend of actual historical characters (Heloise, Abelard, Astrolabe) and fictional members of the family.

In this book, everyone gathers at the stronghold of Catherine's grandfather, where her mother grew up. The story has mystical elements, and family drama along with a puzzle and a mystery.

Full bibliography of all background research materials are available for those who like their historical fiction fully documented.
