Friendship submitted by godzilla on June 26, 2019, 2:54pm Jon Muth's pale watercolors evoke a quiet autumn morning. A very sweet story about friendship. Would be a great read aloud for K-2. A good question to ask after reading would be "What makes someone your friend?" The story is told from the boy's perspective and his descriptions of his drummer friend have a very gentle rhythm. The story is very matter of fact and the images are simple, but show the two characters from varying points-of-view, adding interest and depth.
