Lovely Lucrezia submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 21, 2014, 9:40pm Really good historical biography. Has lots of context about her life and times. Offers some ideas and analysis along with names and dates and records. Suggested for fans of historical fact and fiction about the Renaissance, and people who enjoyed The Borgias show and are interested in learning more. (Bradford's biography comes down much more on the empathetic show version rather than her depiction in the Assassin's Creed games.)
Not the Lucrezia you thought you knew submitted by parlettes on July 11, 2019, 7:38pm As a big fan of the various Borgias shows on Netflix, I was curious to learn more about Lucrezia who is typically portrayed as fairly manipulative. Bradford's biography gives a more well-round introduction to the pope's daughter and offers analysis based on research and records. She paints a much more forgiving picture of Lucrezia as a woman who learned to survive and thrive both with and without her family's influence.
