One man in six will get prostate cancer during his lifetime, and 1 man in 35 will die of this disease. However, more than two million men in the United States who have had prostate cancer at some point are still alive today and the death rate for prostate cancer is going down. Internationally-known clinician and Director of the Michigan Institute of Clinical and Health Research (MICHR), Kenneth Pienta M.D. will discuss prostate cancer and the research into the causes, prevention, and treatment now being done in medical centers around the world.
