Upcoming Computer Class Registration

On December 15 registration will begin for the January, February, and March 2007 classes. Computer class schedule

Starting December 15 registration will be taken at any branch of the library. Registrants can request a hard copy of their class registration.

Registration by phone will also be taken starting on December 15 at 327-8367. The registration phone line will ask you for your name, your library card number, if you are a cardholder, the classes you are requesting, and the location of the classes.

Phone registrants will receive a phone call confirming their registration.

Microsoft Word for the Mac (2 session class)

Participants will be introduced to the features offered in the Mac version of Microsoft Word. Learn about highlighting, cut and paste, and spell check.

Features of the iPod will be demonstrated, such as "downloading, making playlists, safety tips, the use of photos and backing up the files. Learn how easy it is to put your music collection and more in your pocket.

Intermediate Excel (2 session class)

After a review of Excel’s basic concepts, participants will dig deeper into working with formulas, the IF function, and conditional formatting. Prerequisite: Excel Basics class or basic knowledge of Excel.

The new Ann Arbor District Library website offers a wealth of information and resources. Create and keep track of your own Library account and use the new online catalog to reserve materials - all from home or the library.

Health Resources On the Web

This class gives an overview of several websites that cover a wide range of health interests, from details about prescription drugs and clinical trials to information about particular diseases. The Library's health page links and those of the Michigan Electronic Library are highlighted.

Advanced PowerPoint (2 session class)

Participants will develop a web-based presentation, working through the AutoContent Wizard's built-in content, to sell a product. PowerPoint tools will be used to refine the presentation.
