Brainfuse Live Homework Help

Get help with homework or get ahead of the curve with this online tutoring service. Live tutors are available from 2-11 pm every day to teach students in the subject areas of math, English, science, and social studies. Learn more about this service or start trying Brainfuse right now.
Research Databases

Research Databases

AADL provides access to online collections of books, articles, and encyclopedias through our research databases. Take a look at our lists of databases for kids or for student papers, or take a look at the whole subject list to see what will help you with your next assignment.
*To use any of our research databases or to use Brainfuse Homework Help you have to have an AADL username and password. If you don't already have an aadl.org username, just click register on the login page. Make sure to put in your library card number!

Drop-In Homework Help

AADL partners with college student organizations to provide free homework help for school-aged children and teenagers. During the Winter 2012 semester, this service will be available on Sundays, January 22 - April 15, with no sessions on February 26, March 4, and April 8; and Mondays and Wednesdays, January 23 - April 11, with no sessions on February 27 and 29. Sundays will be from 3-5 p.m. and Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m., both in the Downtown youth story corner.

The AADL catalog can help you find books for the appropriate instructional level your child is in at AAPS. Just do a search in our catalog for "AAPS Level" and the appropriate letter or follow the links below to get a list of AADL's holdings in each of the different instructional levels.

If you know someone who is overwhelmed by reading, AADL can help. A HiLo book refers to a text that has been written on a lower grade reading level, but with subject matter that would appeal to older students. Interest levels are labeled by age. Just search our catalog with HiLo_level and the appropriate numbered grade reading level (2,3,4,5,6) or follow the links below to get a full list of AADL's holdings in each of the different reading levels.

Drop-In Homework Help will Resume on January 22

Looking for help with your homework? Look no further than AADL’s Downtown Library. The University of Michigan Chapter of Circle K is once again providing tutoring for students in grades K-12. Stop by the Youth Department Story Corner Mondays and Wednesdays between 4:00 and 8:00 pm to take advantage of this great service!

If you would like homework help over the weekend, U of M’s Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta will again be providing tutoring at the Downtown branch. They will be joined by the U of M group, Operation: Educate Children. Sessions will take place each week from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

AADL also provides access to Brainfuse, an online tutoring service. Live tutors are available from 2:00 -11:00 pm every day!

Did you know that you can access dozens of practice tests and 150 e-books by going to the LearningExpress Library from our Research Pages? Just click on the Research Tab and then the click on the link that says "Test Prep". LearningExpress Library is the sole item with that heading. You will need an additional log in to access this database to take practice tests. Believe me, it's worth having a look-see for Academic preparation, Civil Services exams, Skill Building for kids and adults and So MUCH MORE!!!
