Brainfuse Live Homework Help

Research Databases

AADL provides access to online collections of books, articles, and encyclopedias through our research databases. Take a look at our lists of databases for kids or for student papers, or take a look at the whole subject list to see what will help you with your next assignment.

*To use any of our research databases or to use Brainfuse Homework Help you have to have an AADL username and password. If you don't already have an aadl.org username, just click register on the login page. Make sure to put in your library card number!

Drop-In Homework Help

AADL partners with college student organizations to provide free homework help for school-aged children and teenagers. During the Winter 2012 semester, this service will be available on Sundays, January 22 - April 15, with no sessions on February 26, March 4, and April 8; and Mondays and Wednesdays, January 23 - April 11, with no sessions on February 27 and 29. Sundays will be from 3-5 p.m. and Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m., both in the Downtown youth story corner.

If you know someone who is overwhelmed by reading, AADL can help. A HiLo book refers to a text that has been written on a lower grade reading level, but with subject matter that would appeal to older students. Interest levels are labeled by age. Just search our catalog with HiLo_level and the appropriate numbered grade reading level (2,3,4,5,6) or follow the links below to get a full list of AADL's holdings in each of the different reading levels.

If you would like homework help over the weekend, U of M’s Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta will again be providing tutoring at the Downtown branch. They will be joined by the U of M group, Operation: Educate Children. Sessions will take place each week from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
