Amigurumi Crochet Happy Fun!

This event is intended for adults and teens grade 6 and up

Looking for a seriously fun and unique craft obsession?

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed toys. Local crafter Beth Battey will teach you how to make your own cute amigurumi snail. Beginners with lots of patience are welcome to give it a try, but previous crochet experience is recommended.

A “crochet cam” will be set up for projection of instructions on the big wall! All supplies will be provided.

Crazy Collage - NEW LOCATION

Paper Bag Puppets!

Turn paper bags into a colorful cast of playful puppets using paper, google eyes, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and more. Animals, people, mythical creatures... the possibilities are endless!

Rubber Band Bracelets!

It seems like kids everywhere are making and wearing jewelry out of colorful rubber bands. Perhaps a Rainbow Loom made its way to your house in December? Rubber band bracelet fun is a book that offers more designs to create with the loom, including the triple rainbow bracelet, the beaded bonanza and the flower bracelet. There’s also Totally awesome rubber band jewelry, which offers tips, tricks and more designs to create. If you’ve got a stash of tiny rubber bands on hand and are waiting for the next project, give them a whirl!

No Sew Pillows

Come to the Library for a crafty night of creating your own little Peep using colorful felt and hand-sewing techniques. We’ll show you how!

Bring in the New Year!

Get ready to bring in the new year! Come to the Pittsfield Branch on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. to make hats and noisemakers for your
celebration. This is for kids pre-school through 5th grade but everyone is welcome.
All supplies will be provided.

Winter Solstice Crafts

December 21st is the shortest day of the year. The days will start lengthening after that.
How will you celebrate?
Come to the Malletts Creek Branch on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
and make some decorations that will brighten up that gloomy day.
We'll be using paper to make snow covered evergreen trees, gingerbread people, and bright
red poinsettias.
This program is for preschool through fifth graders, but everyone is welcome.
All supplies will be provided.

Noteworthy Notebooks

This event is intended for grades 3 to adult

Add some personal style to a notebook by gluing fun paper, cloth, foam, and other items to the cover!

You are welcome to bring your own notebook or use those provided. Tacky glue will be available as an alternative to hot glue.

Steampunk Gearrings
