PreK Bits - Ice Cream !!

by ryanikoglu

Ms. Rachel brought stories of ICE CREAM to Preschool Storytime.
WEMBERLY’S ICE CREAM STAR by Kevin Henkes ... is about a tea party for two ... and one ice cream cone.
We also went to the ice cream shop named FIFTEEN FLAVORS … an story passed from one Librarian-To-Another.
We wiggled, hopped, marched, and stopped "around the block" ... to the action song “Walk, Walk, Walk”.
You can find this song on the CD recording HONK HONK RATTLE RATTLE by Richele Bartkowiak.

For more ICE CREAM ... try the following:
ICE CREAM SUMMER … letters to Grandparents and … ICE CREAM !
WEMBERLY WORRIED … another Wemberly story.
VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR … there IS ice cream in this story !
BACKWARDS BIRTHDAY PARTY.
JOONE …. Likes ice cream and turtles and colors purple and orange ….
MY DAD At The ZOO … a silly story with Dad.
MINJI’S SALON … a silly story with Mom.
MAX’S DRAGON SHIRT … and out-of-control ice cream.
Try not to drip.
Happy Summer !

PreK Bits - "I" is for INSECTS

by ryanikoglu

The Letter Carrier delivered letter “I” to the Letter Box this week.
Ms. Rachel and Ms. Betsy used "I" for an INSECT theme.
Elephant says, GO TO SLEEP GECKO … there are fireflies and mosquitoes ... for very good reasons.
"Sometimes you just have to put up with them."
We chased “Fireflies On The Hill” as recorded by Lena on the CD HAPPY AS CLAMS.
And then GOLLY GUMP SWALLOWED A FLY … unfortunately !!

For more INSECT INTERESTS try these:
BUTTERFLY COUNTING BOOK …26 kinds of butterflies.
GROUCHY LADYBUG, VERY BUSY SPIDER and VERY LONELY FIREFLY by Eric Carle.
I LOVE BUGS … a beginner guide on the subject.
DIARY OF A FLY … a day in the life … from a fly point of view!
SUPER BUGS
BUGS! BUGS! BUGS! … a silly rhyme and some fun facts.
STEP GENTLY OUT! … look closely and see.
UNDER The GROUND and The BUTTERFLY by Anna Milbourne.
IT'S A FIREFLY NIGHT ... catch 'em! Then let them go ....
TINY LITTLE FLY ... and the BIG Lion.
