Walking and Talking Ann Arbor History The best walking the town brochure, Guide to Ann Arbor Architecture, by the Huron Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is now the best walking the town Podcast. Twenty different podcasts on the Law Quad, Nickels Arcade, St. Andrew's Church to name a few, are available for your viewing and listening pleasure. There's More The Local History Room at the Ann Arbor District Library also boasts a complete run of the Ann Arbor Observer from 1976 as well as the Observer's City Guide from 1987. Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary Join in the Sesquincentennial celebration of the Washtenaw County Historical Society on Saturday, June 16th, 2-4 p.m. at the Museum on Main Street. They’ll be dedicating a 1857 American flag and hosting a garden party so come stroll through the beautiful grounds and take a tour of the Sesquincentennial Exhibit inside the Museum.  |
 Featured Events Cokie Roberts AADL is honored to host An Evening with Cokie Roberts at the Michigan Theater on Monday, May 19 at 7 pm. Ms. Roberts is Senior News Analyst for NPR and covers Congress, politics and public policy for ABC News. The event includes a book signing, with copies of her new book, Ladies of Liberty: The Women Who Shaped Our Nation, for sale. There is no charge for admission to this public event.
