Chicken Bits - Poultry

by ryanikoglu

Ms. Rachel did Chicken stories for week #6. Of course there are more where those came from.
Rosie's Walk or on DVD in Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. It is great for toddlers to pick out Rosie the chicken in each picture as she tours her chicken yard.
Look Out Suzy Goose is another good toddler tale of sequence.
Big Chickens shows "four big chickens" they are braver than they think.
The Perfect Nest
Chicken Little is a NEW version illustrated by the father and daughter Emberley, an illustrator dynasty.
Chicken Chasing Queen Of Lamar County is a young girl's campaign to catch a feisty chicken on grandma's farm. A funny, developed story for kids who like to "bite into a real tale" of humor and "meat".

Web Bits - I'm B-O-R-E-D !!

by ryanikoglu

SUMMER FUN sites on the internet "for staying safe and active" come from Gail Junion-Metz' column in SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL. Check these sites when you have free time and perhaps get UN-bored:
Exploratorium Sport Science offers incredible science bits behind sports, like why do skateboards seem to magically stick to skater's feet?
Funology Boredom Busters for craft ideas and other things to make and play.
Zoom Activities focused on middle schoolers.
Sports4Kids Playbook for playground games and physical activities.
