Finding Vivian Maier
In the Oscar-nominated documentary Finding Vivian Maier, John Maloof and Charlie Siskel uncover the life a mysterious career nanny who pursued photography in her spare time. Her secret cache of over 100,000 photographs, which surfaced in an auctioned-off storage locker, rocked the art world and cemented the relatively unknown artist as one of the century’s best street photographers. AADL will screen the film, which tells the story of both the photographer and the photographs on Wednesday, May 6 at 7 pm in the Downtown Library Multi-Purpose Room.
