New Chinese books for kids at all branches

The library will soon have many new children's books in Chinese on the shelves. The selection of books varies from branch to branch and can be found in the youth section at the downtown library and in the foreign language collection at the branches. The selection includes many original Chinese language works and works translated into Chinese from other languages. You can browse the shelf to look for new books or put a hold on books through the library catalog and have them delivered to the branch of your choice. Preschool Bits - First Tales

Storytime: First Tales For Sharing is a newly illustrated collection of fairy tales .... just perfect for bedtime reading. Seven classic tales with large pictures. Each story is five pages long. Especially good for preschool ages just getting into longer tales with more words ... the Three Bears, Ugly Duckling and the Gingerbread Man.

Night Stories

This week at preschool storytime it's all about stories in the dark. Baby Owl will try to convince us all that he's not cute, and there will be a few surprise guests during the telling of The Squeaky Door. See you this week at both the Downtown and Pittsfield branches!
