So You Think You Need a Website


If you have a business or are a non-profit organization - you definitely have to have a website. But how should you begin? And how do you develop a solid web presence that will draw people to your site? Join us on Tuesday December 6, 2011: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Downtown Library Multi-Purpose Room for this informative workshop as a small business counselor from SCORE discusses who needs a website, why, and how to develop a web presence.

A Plan for Michigan's Workforce

On Thursday, December 1st, at 10 a.m., Governor Rick Snyder will talk at the Delta College University Center about his plan to re-align the skills of Michigan's Workforce with the needs of Michigan Employers. After the event, you may be able to find the transcript here.

Join us on Tuesday September 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Malletts Creek Branch to learn how to apply for federal jobs. Carl G. Wells, Veterans Employment Coordinator at Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System, will conduct this session, geared to anyone interested in applying for a job with the federal government. Many individuals are afraid to apply for a federal job because the application process seems so daunting. Join Carl as he demystifies the application process. Handouts for this event include a listing of web sites for federal employment.
