A very nice movie.

Oil-company representative Mac has been sent to a small coastal village in Scotland with orders to buy it and all the surrounding land, lock, stock, and barrel, so that a refinery can be built near the company's new North Atlantic oil rigs. Needless to say, the transaction doesn't go smoothly... although the exact bump in the road was, perhaps, not what might have been expected.

The movie was, generally, kind of low-key; the comedy was subtle, and so was the conflict. I enjoyed watching it - except I never did quite figure out what the deal was with the oil company president's therapist...
