Good for the starter vegan kitchen

If you're not put off by Barnouin's rough language or blunt approach, this book is a good introduction to swapping out both animal products for vegan ones, and also swapping unhealthy vegan products for healthy ones. While it's probably helpful to have specific brands listed for folks new to a vegan diet so that they can have something to look for, it's also a little constraining to only list one or two. There are a plethora of vegan burger products on the market now, for example, and she only mentions her favorites, which doesn't include Amy's Kitchen burgers (which in my opinion are much better than the ones she suggests). I think this book would have been even better if after each food item she includes a list of all vegan versions available on the market. (By the way, Earth Balance makes a delicious vegan mayo that I usually find cheaper than the Nayonnaise brand she recommends.)
