Maybe I'm too old to be watching this movie, but while I loved Aladdin and a couple of the songs (namely, "A Whole New World"), the sparse humor and antiquated animation techniques coupled with the weak plot did nothing to impress me.
The Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is one of America’s most haunted theaters. Its foundations were once the walls of a colonial jail that in 1763 witnessed the massacre of the last surviving Conestoga Indians. Those same walls later served to incarcerate fugitive slaves, and the building went on to become a town hall, theater, and movie house. Local author Leslie Stainton will discuss the history of the famed playhouse, and read an excerpt of her new book, Staging Ground: An American Theater and Its Ghosts, on Wednesday, January 28 at 7 pm in the Downtown Library’s Multi-Purpose Room.
