Bottom line: you cannot go wrong with these books. They teach kids all sorts of stuff and they have tons of pics to keep them interested. This is the perfect format for non-fiction reading. A great break from all the fiction my kids love to read.
Make Your Own Drop Spindle (and Learn to Spin Yarn!)
Drop spinning is an ancient craft that uses simple materials to make a spindle that spins sheep's wool or other fibers into yarn. Using wooden dowels and recycled CDs, you can make your own drop spindle and learn the basics of how to spin yarn at 1 pm on Saturday, March 7 at the Malletts Creek Branch. No experience is necessary, and your finished yarn can be used in many different projects at home.
