Although the performance of this book isn't bad, it can sometimes be difficult to figure out if the author is talking or if she is recounting information from her mother's diaries. I would recommend reading this one rather than listening to it.
Dia de la Familia Latina
October is National Hispanic Heritage Month and the AADL invites you to a Latino-focused family event held at the Downtown Library at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 5.
This fun, all-age event will have games, crafts, food, face painting and entertainment! Information addressing mental and physical health, as well as social issues in the Latino community, will be available.
Find out about all of the library's fun stuff for kids with AADL's parent page! JUMP is your stop to find recommended stuff for kids and learn about upcoming library events. Parents can also get information to plan their visit to the library an even find out about resources to help kids with their homework. It's all at jump.aadl.org!
