Not as good as the prequel

The book moved really well, and I was really interested in it, up until I realized exactly what the ending would be. Then I groaned, and continued reading.

I'm glad I read Clockwork Angel first. It's much better. The characters in City of Bones are a little more boring; it seems that Clare really only writes men as flamboyant or witty, badass jerks; at least in Clockwork Angel, that broadens to include other types.

I found the ending to be something of a let-down. I understood it, and I realized before I read it what it would be, but it was just...blah. Still, up until then, I really liked it.
