I was disappointed with this one because it came so highly recommended. It seemed a bit too dated, also boring. Kept waiting for it to "get good." Never did. Didn't care one iota about any of the characters...what was the point? If anyone knows, fill me in. Best thing about the book was it's setting in New Orleans, during Mardi Gras.
