If I had to describe Ubik, by Phillip K Dick in one word, I would undoubtably pick weird. Philip K Dick was a sufferer of Paranoid Schizophrenia, and it is obvious while reading the Ubik. Even Compared Dick's other works, Ubik stands out. It is a combination of Sci-Fi, Horror, and most interestingly, absurdist comedy. The book's main characters are locked in a world where everything they know is suddenly deteriorating, and nothing is real, even themselves. This means that the book is hard to follow, and requires the reader to be constantly be paying their full attention. It is unsettling, to say the least. While I can't honestly say that Ubik is an amazing novel, I feel like it is worth reading for its sheer uniqueness, so I give it a tentative recommendation.
Atlas Shrugged

Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand is a Genre defying masterpiece. It incorporates elements of Science fiction, political thrillers, dystopian fiction, and most unusually, bodice ripper style romance. Despite including elements from so many genres, the book never feels schizophrenic or thinly spread. The story starts in the style of dystopian science fiction, but by 40 or so pages in, the book is a full blown political thriller about a struggling railroad company, Soon after, the book deeply explores the romance of two of it's main characters. These transitions are extremely smooth, to the point that i could not identify any areas where the story had major changes in tone. One thing to note about this novel is that it does double duty as both a work of fiction, and a endorsement of rand's unique philosophy, objectivism. Despite this, the message of the book never gets in the way of it's story, and vice versa. This is a skill lacked by many other great works of fiction. All in all, I could not recommend Atlas shrugged by Ayn Rand any more. whether you read it for it's story, it's message, or simply for its uniquness of style and pacing, just read Atlas Shrugged. I can Guarantee you won't regret it.

A great sequal to the other Daniel Craig James Bond movie. Great action, good plot, and agent 007.
