All in all, this is a pretty solid debut novel for an author. The ending feels a bit rushed and unfinished, but that might have been the intention. Looking forward to reading what else Cashore puts out there. Worth a read if you enjoy young adult fantasy, especially female-centric young adult fantasy.
The concept is interesting, but the plot is largely predictable with large swathes of the ridiculous. Not the worst way to spend 97 minutes, but it is by no means memorable.
Blue valentine is an unflinching look at how even a couple head over heels in love with each other can end up unhappily married and hating one another. Definitely worth the watch, but probably not best if dysfunctional relationships hit a bit too close to home.
Just skip this movie, and pretend that the series ended with The Mummy Returns.
I enjoyed this even more than the first. Plenty of action, well versed lore, and comedy. Oberon becomes even more enjoyable, providing laugh out loud comic relief for the tense situations. Fast becoming one of my favorite fantasy series.
