Simple but profound
»
Great book to read for kids who are experiencing parents separation or divorce. Author brings out emotions very directly and has a great way to bring out the profound while keeping it simple.
Loved it

We loved reading this book and the story seemed to flow easily with enough sport detail and suspense derived mainly from the tennis to keep our interest and a good pace throughout.
Great way to introduce Harlem!
»
This was a really great find and a very fun way to introduce Harlem, black culture, and historic figures to kids. The only criticism is that I wish the cover was different - the lady with a wink was a bit strange and doesn't do justice to the book which is otherwise filled with great illustrations.
Too silly.

We found this story too silly even for mythology. Any story where the gods get angry and curse someone are tough to explain to kids.
Good read-

We liked the overall story and it was great that we get to see a hero on a wheelchair without needing a backstory or even any attention drawn to his special need throughout the story. The bully angle and particularly the page with the girl fallen on the road as the bully walks away with her kite was a bit much for us.
