I liked this book, but for me as a new sewer I felt that I really needed to learn the rules first before I could see the genius behind the book.
I read this book before I went into my garment phase and fell in love with the projects presented in this book. I am always on a quest to organize my home and craft areas so I really appreciated the idea of making projects to organize my space!
I really enjoyed the aesthetic of this book. All of the projects used simple techniques to create stunning projects that were both decorative and ornamental.
I am currently reading this book and I find it very helpful for the type of garment sewing that I am persuing. It covers everything from basic techniques to more advanced tips. It also gives a basic overview of fabrics and materials.
I am a big fan of photos for any craft book. I thought that this book did an excellent job illustrating some of the harder machine/hand sewing techniques. I still had to refer to some sewing tutorials online, but overall this book was very helpful.
