THE LONG REOAD HOME (Doonesbury) by G. B. Trudeau

Genuinely moving, and must reading for any Doonesbury fan. Find out why B.D.'s last name is "D"!
THE DISCOVERY OF GLOBAL WARMING by Spencer Weart

Oddly enough, I found the supporting website for this book to be more useful for my needs. The book is at too high a level of abstraction from the underlying scientific literature (no doubt to appeal to a general audience). The supporting website goes into more depth.
I AM AMERICA (AND SO CAN YOU!) by Stephen Colbert

Cute, but not nearly up to the standard of Al Franken's similar non-book from last year.
HOG PILOTS, BLUE WATER GRUNTS by Robert D. Kaplan

Case studies of a reporter embedded in various military units. Friendly to the military, written for a general audience. I especially liked the profiles of life on board a destroyer and on board a sub.
