I read this book a while ago and I still don't know if I liked it. It was hard to get into the book, but after a while it got better and I remember it ending well.

I may not recommend this book as a favorite. However, I would encourage other people to read it and come to their own conclusion about it. Maybe I just wasn't really into reading at the time I read it... who knows. And there isn't any reason why someone can like after someone says they don't like it!

So read on no matter what anyone else says. Make your own decisions!!! :)

This is a tale of forbidden magic that spans over three books:

1. The Princess and the Hound
2. The Princess and the Bear
3. The Princess and the Snowbird

I've enjoyed all three of these books and would recommend them to all teens, especially Fantasy lovers. However, I am not a Fantasy lover, but I found them quite enjoyable and always made sure I had the next one before I finished the previous.

** I READ THEM IN ORDER BECAUSE THAT IS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM, BUT I DO NOT THINK THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO DO SO.**

This book is about a teenage girl who goes against her parents wishes. This is at a time when a girls job was to marry and care for their husband and his house. Girls were not allowed to learn books and at the time there wasn't any need for them to.

However, Donata loves learning and being outdoors (another no-no without a companion) and through the help of her twin sister she is able to do both, the second disguised as a boy of course!

Don't miss "The Smile," by this author!!
