Since I grew up with Disney, like most other people of my generation have, I will always like the original 'Alice in Wonderland' (animated version) the most, simply because I grew up with it. But putting that aside, I thought this movie was an okay adaptation of the original and kind of captured its 'weirdness' . I liked Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. He seems to always play the eccentric character (cough cough 'Jack Sparrow'). Overall, I thought the movie was visually astounding and the storyline matched the original pretty well.
Kind of similar to The Hunger Games

I also couldn't put the book down. Combining dystopian with romance is my ultimate bias in reading. I definitely want to read "Pandemonium".
Interesting Idea

The idea is what intrigued me. Sending young boys with no memory of their past into the harsh world of the maze. I immediately felt curious and wanted to read the book. I thought it executed the idea very well and it is what I call an "adrenaline read" because of all the exiciting action.
