This book has horrible writing, and the story is one that glorifies abusive relationships. It's not really worth reading.
This book was somewhat interesting, creating a really cool setup for a great series, but on its own, it falls a little flat. It's still exciting though. I'd recommend reading this, and moving on to the better, more interesting books in the Pendragon series, though the writing isn't phenomenal in any of them.
In the world of teen fiction, The Goose Girl is a rare find. It is a beautiful book, excellently written, and one with characters you can't help but fall in love with. I read this book first a long time ago, but I still constantly go back to it, since it is such a refreshing read. Ani is a hero you can really cheer for, and I love that the story is more about her than her romance. Everyone should read this book, regardless of age. It is a universal joy.
While I did enjoy this book, it was really just a fun dumb read. It's pretty similar to any young adult book you can find these days: futuristic society, predictable romance, and equally predictable rebellion. It's worth the time, but don't expect to be floored by the read.
