Neil Gaiman spins a fantastic tale in this fantasy story that reads at times both like an adult and a children's book. It's a very interesting story, especially seeing how each little subplot ties into the ending. Definitely read this if you like fantasy!
This beautiful book is a wonderful spin on the classic story of Cinderella. It's romantic and exciting and suspenseful and certainly worth reading.
This book has a very interesting premise, though it can be hard to scrape through some of the young writing. If you can make it, though, you'll have a lot to think about at the end, and maybe even be up for trying the sequels, which are equally interesting, though also written poorly.
I loved this book when I first read it, so much so that I frequently reread it. This book is absolutely delightful, and Stewart is unbelievably creative as he writes in his timeless style. Though it's written for children, The Mysterious Benedict Society has universal appeal. It has puzzles, fun, suspense, danger, laughs, and everything in between.
This book is excellent. Pullman spins a brilliant tale of a world that is eerily similar to ours, and his language and writing are gorgeous. Lyra is a character that you truly want to root for, and I absolutely fell in love with this book. Everyone should read it; it's enjoyable for readers of all ages. And if you like it, I also recommend the sequels!
