This book has several stories all happening at once and told from the perspective four of the characters. While I found the themes of growing up, independence, and exploring your world, to be worthwhile, it could get busy at times. Tthere are so many thought/speech bubbles on the pages. I was pointing to each character as I read this out loud and that was probably distracting for the kids, too.

Hmm, so everyone has to follow the rules except for kittens? Not the best message for kids but, something to look forward to when they get older. This wouldn't be my choice for a bedtime story.
