This book is just... sad. For most of the book, you have no idea what the girls' issues are, and then when you find them out, no one does anything to help. The worst scene in the whole book is near the end, and there isn't even a happy ending. This book rates LOW in my book.
Maybe I'm too old to be watching this movie, but while I loved Aladdin and a couple of the songs (namely, "A Whole New World"), the sparse humor and antiquated animation techniques coupled with the weak plot did nothing to impress me.
This book is worth rereading again and again. I love Sophie and her crabbiness. I just sort of adore this book. That is all.
This book is creepy. Not as creepy as Unwind, but not as interesting either. It's not terrifying, but it's definitely unnerving. I wouldn't recommend it, but I prefer adventure or warm and fuzzy novels.
Unlike the rest of the Weetzie Bat books, this is in prose. It's also slightly less magical.
