As much as I like this series, I just want it to end already. The author says that #12 will be the last, but I mean really, how many times is Hiccup going to almost beat Alvin the Treacherous? Apparently 12ish?
This was excellent. So many details and photos, it was well written, and just the little touches that made it so "insider". Hardly a paragraph without a reference to a lyric, and I loved reading/singing it as I went along. A great to remember and understand him.
Blah. I would say this was ok. I have heard it was her worst novel, but I am not going to read more to find out. This was definitely Chick-Lit and I basically hated all the characters. A bunch of catty women, uppity women, and annoying teenagers. Also, I knew what was going to happen almost right away. Lame-o.
This book was "graphic" in a way with childish cartoons and paragraphs of information about sex. My son, age 8, really thought it was hilarious (lots of cartoon butts and genitals), but also he and I talked a lot about reproduction and sex. The book wasn't confusing so much as it was a conversation starter.
This is a story told through a scrapbook style using real vintage stuff to fake the book. There are words, but it is more like captions, and the pictures are really cool. It is fictional about a 1920's girl who goes to college and her life truly begins. Very fun and easy to read, but really good! I hope this author writes more.
