Someone please give me a reason why I should have liked this movie. I wanted to. I really wanted to, but between all the psycho-babble and the mumbling and bumbling of Freud and Jung I diagnose this movie...boorrriiiing! D+
I would say the film-maker was going for a work of art rather than a commercially successful movie. Yes at times it was tedious, but engaging enough with its sci-fi backdrop to keep me involved. Overall a memorable work. B+
This work of art is unlike anything I've seen. Enough said.
This movie has a lot of laughs. I'm sure a lot were lost amid the thick Irish accents as well. The humor seemed enhanced by the fact that almost every scene was painted with bright, vibrant, almost absurd, colors. This seemed to convey the movie's message: don't you dare take me serious.
An unconventional, memorable film. At times it seemed plodding but I liked the overall style and feel of the movie. Grade: B.
