The opening scene was funny but it was all down hill after that. The only thing that kept me watching was waiting to see which SNL alumnus showed up next. If you like potty humor you might like this mess. This one's on you Adam. You can do better. Grade: D.
Don't watch it alone.
This documentary tells the tale of a true musical phenomenon. You can't make this stuff up. The the material was eloquently sewn together and presented. Grade A.
Nifty action scenes chock full of suberb stunts accentuate a good story. Javier Bardem portrays a fine villain. Daniel Craig plays an imperfect yet likeable, cool Bond. I'd been out of the Bond scene since the Roger Moore days and was pleasantly surprised with this slick flick. I even liked the title song. Grade A.
My ears are still ringing from the number of F-bombs dropped in this movie. In some scenes the profanity is rapid-fired, machine gun style. It seemed a little...no, a lot over the top. Having said that, this is a cop movie thick with tension and grit. Grade B.
