Juno - how did it ever get nominated for Best Picture
ยป
Juno, directed by Jason Reitman, is, more or less, a female-center imitation of Knocked Up. If you like unnecessarily crude and coarse language by 16 year old, then this movie is for you. I've seen all of the Oscar Nominated Best Picture nominees, and this is, by far, the worst. Sweeney Todd, Eastern Promises and Across the Universe have either better acting, better plots or are higher quality movies. Referring to breasts as "fun bags" is not humor, in my estimation. Referring to an "in utero" baby as the "bastard" by her best friend in a jaded tone of voice is not funny. And, as if this wasn't bad enough, her parents also spoke the same way. The jacket on the film called the film hilarious. Most of the "humor" is of the sort shown above. I would NEVER recommend this film to anyone.
