The actual season ended long before the Christmas special, so it was wonderful to have that episode on this DVD. Disc 3 also has some special features.
While it was fun to see some local Ann Arbor sites in this movie, the main character acted like this is hicksville and the only fun thing to do is to go deer hunting and then make Mugs, clothing and accessories around your house out of deer skin and horns. Really...???

I knew very little about the movie before I watched it and now I know why it was so popular. I agree the young actor that played Oskar was fantastic and I also plan to read the book. I highly recommend it!
We just read this book for book club and we fell in love with it! Great writing that you don't find very often anymore. Absolutely recommended for all readers! Our book club members daughters are all picking it up and falling in love with it too. Give it a try - you will be hooked!
