If you are a fan of some of DMB's older live albums, you'll find some studio recordings of some of your favorites on this album.

I can easily put this disk in and leave it in for weeks: this is classic DMB and a fantastic tribute to their band mate.
My Favorite Sherman Alexie book

This book is a page-turner: right away the reader advocates for Junior, and as he faces struggles with school and family I found myself feeling real pain for him.

Alexie's ability to write as a 14-year old is amazing, and gives a very accurate perspective to what it was like for many kids to grow up on a reservation.
Cute, with a great lesson

Through the use of woodland animals, Avi teaches readers to think for themselves, problem solve, and to be brave, even when no one thinks you can accomplish something! A great, quick read.
A good lesson

This is an adorable book about not judging people by preconceived notions. A mouse gets stuck, and the long skinny snake is the only one who can help him! The mouse learned to overcome the fear he has about the snake, and ends up making friends.

A terrific read!
A short and sweet Newberry

This is a sweet book - that while it may obviously have a somewhat sad ending - actually has a very sweet message and shows the power animals can have over their companions.

This is a great book for someone needing to read a Newberry award winner, but isn't a strong reader or doesn't have much time. At 60ish pages, you can't go wrong!
