Great from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
I've had to sit through numerous viewings of "Pride and Prejudice" because of my wife's love of the scenery, clothes and melodrama. I cannot stomach Keira Knightley, I can not still to this day see what people find interesting about her. So it was with a lot of trepidation that I sat down to watch "Lost in Austen", what a relief, this version is quite enjoyable from beginning to end and although the lead is very good, I found two people in the supporting cast quite easily stole the scene each time they appeared on screen, I'm speaking of the Father and Bingley characters, they are just great at their craft. So if you enjoyed "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead", then this may be just the ticket for you too.
What a utterly depressing and pointless film. The world is ending so let's kill and terrorize children, really that's what makes for a "remarkable" film. Who pays the idiots that write these ringing endorsements, the producer of the film, I'm starting to think so.
This is a really enjoyable and most interesting documentary. Which can be hard to come across sometimes these days, it reminds us of how nature is still calling the shots and that she will continue to do so, regardless of what we may think.
How can a story and the characters involved start out so strong and become dumber as the film goes along ? I guess the same way as say something like the film "Heat" might. The actors are good at what they do, it's the story that seems to die as you are watching it.
