I've requested this CD numerous times and never get tired of the music. It's especially fun to play when friends are in the car, as I'll begin with the last track (Bella's lullaby) which is soft, pleasant piano music. It then goes to the beginning of the CD, which is a pounding, throbbing blast of music by Muse, which shocks my friends (they don't expect me to listen to such rowdy music). Enjoy!
OK, it's a light book, but it was also a relaxing, enjoyable read. It was easy to tell that Putney was setting the stage for additional books featuring some of the men mentioned in the novel, but I liked the characters. This was the first time I've read anything by this author, but I'll likely request more of her books.
Three friends rent a beachfront home in North Carolina for a month. They all have life challenges, and while relaxing by the ocean, there are lots of adventures, lots of female bonding, a cute guy - and a satisfying ending. Great summer reading.
Engaging story about a teen insomniac who spends the summer at the beach with her father and his new wife and baby. Auden makes a number of new friends, meets a fellow insomniac, and they help each other heal and grow during their sleepless night-time adventures. Fun book and great author. I'll definitely read her next book, "What Happened to Goodbye".
This book reveals some amazing aspects of a spy mission during WWII. It was well-written and at times quite humorous. However, it's challenging reading, in that it also covers some very graphic, distressing, and haunting history. Recommended.
