Roads not taken, or...

Another earth appears in the sky. There are indications it's not just another Earth-like planet but an actual other Earth, with the same cities and maybe even the same people. Could you meet yourself? What would you say? Maybe that other self is the same, but maybe the other self are different, just because now they know there's another Earth, too. Do you regret the road not taken or the one you actually took?

Fun but shallow

The plot was somewhat interesting, and I believe that the choice to have nearly no exposition was a good one, but ultimately it's a bunch of ideas that didn't quite gel. There are better things to watch, but if you're just in it for the admittedly good special effects and seeing Olivia Wilde nearly unclothed, you might still enjoy the two hours it takes. You won't get them back afterward, though.
Great visuals and songs; bad message

Ever since I first saw this movie in the theater on first release, I have viewed this film as inherently flawed. The characters are delightful, the songs and score divine, and the visuals creepy and delicious. However, the plot resolution clearly lays out that the protagonist of the piece can and should expect for a parental figure (in this case Santa Claus) to fix all the things he screwed up. I guess it's a parable for the helicopter-parented generation. But I don't have to like it.
Entertaining; would be a perfect beach read

An entertaining and enjoyable romance of misunderstood priorities and expectations, involving texting and corporate intrigue.
