Lots of action and comedy, and fun performances, but the story has a lot of rough edges. If you don't think too much about it and just enjoy the ride, you might be okay, but don't expect it to all hang together.

Spectacle to amaze and amuse. See the president shoot up the House of Representin' and the effect of sports beverage hydration on crop yields. See Monday Night Rehabilitation and some amazingly phallic corrections vehicles. And think to yourself, at least I'm not that stupid. Seriously though, the movie is weirdly charming and funny. It's also very, very crude.
A dozen players enter the game, but an assassin intrudes and throws all into chaos. A fantastic exploration of fears about the future of fully immersive virtual reality games. When you believe you are in a game world, do you act differently? What if you're not sure?
A well-executed and entertaining monster movie. Michael Gross is particularly was fun to watch, in a role that helped him to break his stereotyping as the TV sitcom dad to Michael J. Fox's Alex Keaton on the beloved Family Ties. The acting is uniformly delightful, and the monster certainly terrifying. A great movie to watch with a group.
