This is an excellent British historical film - that is both moving and humorous. It won numerous Oscars - including Best Picture and Best Actor.
A gem

This play of a marriage on the rocks - two people who cannot communicate and the son that is caught between the parents that he loves - is extremely well-written and was nominated for a Tony.

An early novel - but an excellent one! This was made into a not so great film with Jennifer Jones and Lawrence Olivier - but the novel itself is a classic.
Wonderful Performance

Meryl Streep gives truly one of the all-time great performances in this film adaptation of William Styron's acclaimed novel of a Holocaust survivor.

AADL and Performance Network Theatre screen the documentary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Historical Perspective at the Downtown AADL on Wed., May 22 from 7-8:15 PM. The film examines the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the subject of Performance Network's May production of The Mountaintop.
