I was excited for this movie because I love most of the cast. Unfortunately it felt like every other generic sports movie that's been made before. I was expecting something special. At least there's Justin Timberlake's smile.
This book is a great true story of a man and his autistic son. Ben's overall well being seemed to change when he visited Disney World, so the family moved to Orlando. He particularly liked the Snow White ride, and this is the story of his 3500 rides on it before it's closure.
This movie was awful. The writing and acting was way off. The only reason I've given it a second thought is because it is truly shocking that these events actually happened, and not just once. I wish they had done a better job.
I really enjoyed this book. Wally Lamb did a good job creating fiction around reality. He sticks to the Columbine event pretty closely, while adding in realistic events which in reality, didn't happen. Very creative. As a bonus, if you read and loved I Know This Much is True, you'll get a little Birdsey brothers cameo.
I've heard that this is a great movie. I think I made it about 20 minutes in before there was too much blood for me. I do have a fairly low tolerance level, so it might be okay for others. Just be warned, there are severe injuries in this movie, including some to children.
